Federalist No. 15 is an essay written by Alexander Hamilton, the fifteenth in a series called The Federalist Papers. It was published on December 1, 1787, in The Independent Journal under the name Publius, the pseudonym used for all the essays. The essay discusses the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation in governing the United States. It is the first of six essays that examine this issue.
