About “Winnie-the-Pooh”

A.A. Milne's 1926 book features the beloved characters of Winnie the Pooh and his friends in a collection of stories set in the Hundred Acre Wood. The stories include Pooh meeting bees, getting into a tight spot, hunting for a Woozle, and helping Eeyore find a tail. Other tales involve Piglet meeting a Heffalump, Eeyore's birthday, Kanga and Baby Roo visiting the forest, and Christopher Robin leading an expedition to the North Pole. The book also includes a story in which Piglet is surrounded by water and one in which Christopher Robin throws a party for Pooh. Milne described the characters as inspired by his son's toys and his wife's storytelling, with illustrations by E.H. Shepard.
