A. A. Milne

1 series 6 books in order 1924–2016

A. A. Milne (1882-1956) was born in Kilburn, London, attended Westminster School and studied mathematics at Trinity College, Cambridge. He married in 1913 and joined the British Army in World War I. His son Christopher Robin Milne was born in 1920, and his most famous work, Winnie-the-Pooh, was published in 1926. He stopped writing children's works by the end of that decade, saying his inspiration, his son, had grown older, and continued writing for adults with less popular success. He retired to Cotchford Farm after a stroke and brain surgery in 1952 and died in 1956.
