About “The Temporal Void”
Peter F. Hamilton's The Temporal Void is the second novel in a trilogy that began with The Dreaming Void. The story is set in the universe of the Commonwealth saga and follows the aftermath of a religious movement called Living Dream, which was inspired by the dreams of human astrophysicist Inigo about a man named Edeard living in a self-contained microuniverse called the Void. Edeard possessed strong psychic abilities and sought justice in a corrupt world. When a second dreamer appears, the Void begins to expand, threatening the galaxy. Araminta, the Second Dreamer, must confront her role in the unfolding crisis. Inigo uncovers hidden truths about Edeard, while Commonwealth operative Paula Myo searches for Araminta and Inigo. Justine enters the Void, where powerful entities known as the Skylords hold the key to the universe's fate. The novel explores the fate of humanity as tensions rise and interstellar conflict looms.
