About “The Arrows Of Time”
The Arrows of Time is a hard science-fiction novel by Australian author Greg Egan, the third book in the Orthogonal trilogy. Published by Gollancz on 21 November 2013 and by Night Shade Books on 5 August 2014, the story follows the return journey of the generation ship Peerless, which left in The Clockwork Rocket and traveled into space in The Eternal Flame. The novel explores the construction of a device that can receive messages from the future and a voyage to a world where time flows in reverse. The story is set in a universe based on a Riemannian manifold, altering the usual laws of physics. Egan describes the scientific details on his website.
