About “The Burglar in the Library”

Bernie Rhodenbarr, a bookseller and lifelong New Yorker, plans a romantic getaway to the Cuttleford House, a remote upstate bed and breakfast. However, his girlfriend Lettice cancels, as she is getting married—just not to him. He instead takes his friend Carolyn. Bernie also has a secret motive: a valuable first edition in the library. He is, in fact, a burglar. Upon arrival, he finds a dead body in the library. A snowstorm traps them, phone lines are down, and Lettice arrives with her new husband. As the body count rises, Bernie must solve the mystery before it's too late.
