Paul Mark Scott (25 March 1920 – 1 March 1978) was an English novelist known for his tetralogy The Raj Quartet. His novel Staying On won the Booker Prize in 1977, the last year of his life. The Raj Quartet was adapted for television by Granada Television in the 1980s, bringing Scott recognition and acclaim that had been absent during his lifetime. He is remembered as a significant figure in English literature.
