Margaret Wander Bonanno (February 7, 1950 – April 8, 2021) was an American science fiction writer, ghostwriter, and small press publisher. She was born in New York City and lived in the Los Angeles area. Bonanno wrote seven Star Trek novels and several science fiction novels set in her own worlds, including The Others, a collaborative novel with Nichelle Nichols. She also wrote a biography and other works. Her novel Preternatural was a New York Times Notable Book for 1997, and Preternatural 3 was a New York Times Notable Book for 2002.
