About “The deeds of the disturber”
Amelia Peabody and her husband, Radcliffe Emerson, return from the winter events in Dahshoor to face a new mystery at the British Museum. A murder occurs in the Egyptian wing, and the victim is believed to have been killed by a curse from a recently donated mummy. The press, represented by journalist Kevin O'Connell and Miss Minton, closely follows the case, often clashing with each other. As the Emersons investigate, they must uncover the truth behind the murder before Amelia becomes the next target. The novel explores their efforts to solve the case while navigating the pressures of public attention.
