Firestar experiences peace among the warrior Clans and feels pride in the unity of ThunderClan. All four forest Clans are strong, training new warriors and maintaining their boundaries without conflict. However, Firestar's dreams are troubled by visions of cats fleeing a disaster. With the help of Smudge, an old friend, he uncovers a shocking truth: StarClan, the spiritual guides of the Clans, have deceived him. Faced with a difficult choice, Firestar must decide whether to leave his home and embark on a dangerous journey to uncover a long-buried secret.
