Frostpaw returns to the lake to share what she knows at the Gathering, but the Clans doubt an apprentice who has lied before about her visions. She takes shelter in ShadowClan as Splashtail takes control of her home. While other Clan leaders argue about RiverClan, Nightheart focuses on teaching Clan ways to two park cats who followed him. Sunbeam struggles to fit in with ThunderClan while worrying about her mother, who is suffering because of her actions. As Berryheart's plans grow more dangerous and Splashtail turns to violence, some cats try to keep the peace, but their efforts may not be enough.
