Vallista (2017) by Steven Brust follows Vlad Taltos, an Easterner who once worked in House Jhereg's organized crime before the Jhereg turned on him. Devera, a mysterious Dragaeran girl, leads Vlad into an empty manor with corridors doubling back on themselves and rooms overlooking other worlds, possibly holding answers about his world, if she can be persuaded to stay long enough.
