About “The Queen of Zamba”
The Queen of Zamba is a science fiction novel by L. Sprague de Camp, the first in his Viagens Interplanetarias series and a subseries set on the fictional planet Krishna. Written between November 1948 and January 1949, it was first published in Astounding Science Fiction in two parts in August and September 1949. It was later released as a paperback in 1954 by Ace Books as an "Ace Double" with Clifford D. Simak's Ring Around the Sun, under the retitled Cosmic Manhunt. A separate 1966 edition in England was titled A Planet Called Krishna. A restored version including the short story "Perpetual Motion" was published in 1977 by Dale Books and reprinted by Ace in 1982.
