About “Finished”
"Finished" is a science fiction short story written by American author L. Sprague de Camp. It is part of his Viagens Interplanetarias series. The story was first published in the November 1949 issue of Astounding Science Fiction. It was later included in the 1953 collection The Continent Makers and Other Tales of the Viagens, published by Twayne Publishers in hardcover. A paperback edition was released in November 1971 by Signet Books. The story is part of a larger series of works by de Camp set in a fictional interplanetary universe.
