About “Fall of kings”
The final novel in David Gemmell's Troy trilogy combines high adventure and epic storytelling. It takes place during the war that divides the Ancient World, with forces loyal to the Mykene King gathering on the killing fields outside the golden city of Troy. Among them is Odysseus, a fabled storyteller and reluctant ally to the Mykene, who prepares to fight his former friends. Within the city, the Trojan king, ailing and bitter, places his hope in two heroes: his son Hektor and the vengeful Helikaon, who seeks retribution for his wife's death. War is declared, and as enemies who are also kinsmen prepare for battle, they know many will die and some will become eternal heroes whose story will be told for centuries.
