About “Tom Sawyer's Conspiracy”

"The Adventure of Tom Sawyer" is an unfinished novella by American author Mark Twain, first published in 1967. It is a continuation of Twain's famous works "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," and the less well-known "Tom Sawyer Abroad" and "Tom Sawyer, Detectiv." In this novella, the familiar characters Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn start a plot: they try to scare their small town of St. Petersburg by spreading a rumor about a wave of abolitionists. Despite its incomplete structure, the novel has a complete and coherent plot. The novel was first published in Russian in 2005 by the publisher "Tekst," translated by Marina Ivezheva.
