Set during the long naval war between Britain and France around the turn of the 19th century, this story follows two very different protagonists, Tom Kydd and Renzi, who are pressed into naval service on a British Navy battleship. Simple Kydd is a poor wig maker, while cultured Renzi is on the run from his noble, rich family; their adventure continues through about a dozen volumes in accurate historical context.
