The Happy Highwayman is a collection of short stories by Leslie Charteris, first published in 1939 by Hodder and Stoughton in the United Kingdom and The Crime Club in the United States. It is the 21st book in the series featuring Simon Templar, also known as "The Saint." The 1963 Hodder and Stoughton paperback edition incorrectly states 1933 as the original publication date, a mistake also found in the 1958 Pan Books paperback version. The stories in the collection continue the adventures of Simon Templar, a charismatic and clever criminal who often outwits the police while helping others.
