About “Meet the Tiger”
Meet the Tiger is an action-adventure novel written by Leslie Charteris. It was first published in England by Ward Lock in September 1928 and in the United States by Doubleday's The Crime Club imprint in March 1929 under the variant title Meet – the Tiger!. The book is the first in a long-running series featuring Simon Templar, also known as "The Saint." It was later reissued with different titles, including Crooked Gold in 1929, which did not credit Charteris as the author, and The Saint Meets the Tiger, which became the best-known reissue title. In 1940, the Sun Dial Press changed the title to Meet – the Tiger! The Saint in Danger. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
