Jacquetta, daughter of the Count of Luxembourg and kinswoman to much of European royalty, is married to John, Duke of Bedford, uncle to Henry VI. Widowed at nineteen, she marries a household gentleman for love, later becoming Queen Margaret of Anjou's close friend and a Lancaster supporter, until her daughter Elizabeth Woodville marries the rival king Edward IV.
