About “The twelve”

The great viral plague left a small group of survivors in a world turned into a nightmare. Led by the mysterious and charismatic Amy, they launch an insurrection against the virals, attacking a dozen hives ruled by the original Twelve. Their secret weapon is Alicia, who was transformed into a half-human, half-viral being at the end of the first book. It remains unclear which side she truly supports. This is the beginning of the Second Viral War. The novel was published in 2012 by Justin Cronin.
