About “Star Trek The Next Generation - Q & A”
Nearly two decades ago, Jean-Luc Picard assumed command of the U.S.S. Enterprise™ NCC-1701-D. He understood the significance of the name, as previous captains of Enterprise had become legendary in Starfleet history. The Enterprise-D's first mission took it to Farpoint Station, where it encountered Q, an omnipotent being who repeatedly challenged the crew, particularly Picard. Q's actions ranged from trivial to dangerous, testing the crew's limits and putting their lives at risk. Over time, Q's presence became a recurring and unpredictable threat. Now, as Picard commanded the Enterprise-E, he found himself recalling the early days of the Enterprise-D. Though the new mission was different from the one at Farpoint Station, he felt an unsettling sense of familiarity—something eerily like Q's interference.
