About “Artificial Condition”

A 2018 science fiction novella by Martha Wells follows a robot known as Murderbot, which has a dark past involving the deaths of several humans. It was given the name Murderbot after a massacre it cannot fully remember. Seeking answers, it teams up with a research transport vessel named ART. Together, they travel to the mining facility where Murderbot went rogue. What they find there challenges everything Murderbot believes about itself.
