The Immigrants (Lavette Family Saga) Books in Order
A six-novel saga by Howard Fast tracing three generations of the Lavette family of San Francisco, beginning with Dan Lavette's rise from a poor fisherman's son to a shipping and banking magnate against the backdrop of the 1906 earthquake, and following his descendants through the Depression, World War II, and into the late twentieth century. Fast published the first volume, The Immigrants, in 1977 and continued the series intermittently over the next two decades.
