About “Catching Fire”
Katniss Everdeen has won the Hunger Games and returned to her family and friend Gale. However, her relationships have changed—Gale is distant, and Peeta has turned away from her. There are signs of a rebellion, and Katniss may have played a role in it. She is frightened by the unrest she has helped create and unsure if she should stop it. As she and Peeta prepare for a Victory Tour, they must convince the districts that their love is real, or face terrible consequences. Catching Fire, the second book in the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, continues Katniss's story with high stakes and unexpected twists.
