About “The Seventh Gate”

The Seventh Gate is a 1994 novel by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Haplo, mortally wounded, is captured by Lord Xar, who plans to resurrect him as a living dead to force him to reveal the location of the Seventh Gate. Haplo's only hope of rescue comes from Marit, Hugh the Hand, and Alfred. To save him, they must enter the forbidden Seventh Gate, but doing so risks revealing its location to Xar, who seeks to dominate the sundered realms. The story concludes with a final struggle between good and evil, as the fate of the worlds is at stake.
