About “Knees up Mother Earth”
There's big trouble in Little Brentford. Property developers plan to destroy Griffin Park, the town's beloved football ground, and build homes on the site. The lads of The Flying Swan, a local pub, take up the challenge. Norman, a cornershop keeper, has discovered a Victorian computer with secrets of ancient super-technology. Archroy, a yachtsman and explorer, returns with the fabled Golden Fleece. Other characters include unemployed men, an aged professor, and a time traveler who appears in Norman's kitchen. With these unlikely allies, the town hopes to save the football ground. However, ancient forces of evil—Old Testament terrors, Lovecraftian creatures, and other horrors—are also at play. If the team reaches the final, the match will be unforgettable. The fate of mankind depends on the outcome.
