About “The People of Sparks (Book of Ember #2)”
The People of Sparks continues the story of Lina and Doon, who leave the underground city of Ember to explore the world above. They are joined by other Ember residents, who find temporary shelter in a town that offers them food and shelter. However, tensions rise as the town's limited resources create conflict between the Emberites and the local people. Acts of vandalism lead to growing hostility, and Lina and Doon must uncover the truth behind the vandalism to prevent further violence. The novel explores themes of trust, survival, and the challenges of adapting to a new environment. It is a 2004 novel by Jeanne DuPrau.
