About “The 1978 Annual World's Best SF”
The 1978 Annual World's Best SF is an anthology of science fiction short stories edited by Donald A. Wollheim and Arthur W. Saha. It is the seventh volume in a series of nineteen. The book was first published in paperback by DAW Books in May 1978, with a hardcover edition released in August of the same year. The hardcover edition replaced the original cover art by Jack Gaughan with a new painting by Richard Powers. In 1983, DAW reissued the paperback under the variant title Wollheim's World's Best SF: Series Seven, featuring cover art by Graham Wildridge.
