About “Hard eight”

Stephanie Plum, a fugitive apprehension agent, is called to find seven-year-old Annie Soder and her mother, Evelyn, who have disappeared. Evelyn's estranged husband, Steven, owns a seedy bar and is upset about their absence. Stephanie follows the trail to Evelyn's grandmother, who lives near her parents. In Hard Risk, Stephanie teams up with Ranger, her mentor, and others to search for Annie. She is warned about Eddie Abruzzi, a dangerous man connected to Steven. A competition arises between Stephanie's group, a rival bounty hunter named Jeanne Ellen Burrows, and Abruzzi's crew. A killer rabbit also appears. Hard Eight continues the wild adventures of Stephanie Plum.
