About “The Truce at Bakura”

After Darth Vader's funeral on Endor, the Alliance intercepts a distress call from an Imperial outpost on Bakura. The planet is on the edge of known space and is under attack by the Ssi-ruuk, a reptilian race that once served the Emperor. Princess Leia sees the mission as a chance for a diplomatic win, but the situation becomes more urgent when Obi-Wan Kenobi appears to Luke Skywalker, warning him that going to Bakura is essential to protecting the Rebels' goals. The Ssi-ruuk have nearly defeated the Bakura garrison, and the desperate Imperial commander is willing to accept Rebel aid. However, the Rebels must also gain the trust of the Bakurans, despite the temporary amnesty granted by Imperial Governor Nereus. There is a risk of betrayal from those who still owe loyalty to the Empire.
