About “Star Trek Voyager - Ghost of a Chance”
The USS Voyager is severely damaged after a close encounter with a dwarf star and discovers the planet Drenar Four, which is being destroyed by intense volcanic activity. The planet's primitive people are in danger of extinction, but Captain Janeway cannot intervene due to the Prime Directive. Another starship arrives, offering help to both the Voyager and Drenar Four. The Televek, the ship's crew, may have hidden motives. Janeway and her crew experience strange, ghostly visions that warn of upcoming danger. These visions prove to be real as she faces the challenge of saving the planet while dealing with uncertain allies. The story is a 1996 novel by Mark Garland and Charles G. McGraw.
