About “Thin Air”
A Boston police detective calls on Spenser to find his missing bride, Lisa St. Claire. Spenser investigates from a New England college campus to Los Angeles, uncovering Lisa's past as a prostitute, her struggles with drugs, and her history of destructive relationships. He believes she is being held by her sociopathic Latino ex-lover in a run-down tenement in a decaying Massachusetts town. Spenser teams up with a Chicano shooter known for his honor and resolve to rescue her. Along the way, he deals with corrupt cops and local power figures, confronting harsh realities about love, masculinity, and the law. The 1995 novel by Robert B. Parker follows Spenser's determined efforts to bring Lisa home.
