About “Hundred-dollar baby”
Spenser, a private investigator based in Boston, is hired by April Kyle, a former teenage runaway who turned to prostitution and now runs an upscale, all-female brothel. Some men are trying to take her business away, and April says she doesn't know who is behind the threats. Spenser uncovers connections between the situation and organized crime. He also discovers that April, the thugs, and others involved are all lying to him. The story is part of a novel by Robert B. Parker.
