About “Early autumn”

During a bitter divorce, a father hires thugs to kidnap his son, and the mother hires Spenser to retrieve the boy. Spenser decides to kidnap the boy himself and, with a contract out on his life, takes him to the Maine woods to teach the 15-year-old survival skills while outmaneuvering dangerous opponents.
