It is part of the collection His Last Bow and consists of two parts: "The Singular Experience of Mr. John Scott Eccles" and "The Tiger of San Pedro." When first published in The Strand, the two parts were given the collective title "A Reminiscence of Mr. Sherlock Holmes." The story was presented as a two-part narrative in its original publication.
