About “The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb”
"The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb" is a short Sherlock Holmes story written by Arthur Conan Doyle. It is the ninth of twelve stories in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, published in 1892 in Strand Magazine. Dr. Watson mentions that this is one of only two cases he brought to Holmes. The story is included in several collections, such as Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Famous Cases of Sherlock Holmes.
