About “Sharpe's Tiger”
In 1799, Richard Sharpe, an inexperienced private in His Majesty's army, joins an expedition to India to overthrow the ruthless Tippoo of Mysore and remove his French allies. To infiltrate Tippoo's city and connect with a captured Scottish spy, Sharpe must pose as a deserter. Success could earn him a promotion to sergeant, but failure means capture by Tippoo's forces or his deadly tigers. Navigating an unfamiliar and dangerous environment, Sharpe remains alert, knowing one mistake could mean death. When the British attack begins, he must fight against his own men to keep his secret, risking death from his comrades to avoid exposure and outwit Tippoo's trap.
