Septology Books in Order
Septology is a cycle of autofictional novels by Norwegian writer Jon Fosse (2023 Nobel Prize in Literature), originally written in Norwegian Nynorsk and published in seven parts across three books between 2019 and 2021. It follows an aging painter named Asle and his encounters with his double, also named Asle, told in a single unbroken flow of consciousness; the English translation by Damion Searls (Fitzcarraldo Editions/Transit Books) condenses the seven parts into three volumes, and the concluding volume was shortlisted for the 2022 International Booker Prize.
