Treasure-hunting team Sam and Remi Fargo search for a Romanov fortune that was paid in 1918 but never reached its intended recipients. During World War II, the Nazis stole the ransom from the Russians, and it disappeared. In the present day, a modern kidnapping draws the Fargos into a dangerous quest. They discover the riches are now held by the descendants of a Nazi guerrilla group called the Werewolves, who aim to establish the Fourth Reich. As the Fargos follow the trail across Europe, Northern Africa, and South America, they seek to hold those responsible for past crimes accountable and prevent future atrocities.
