About “Rabbit is rich”
It's 1979, and Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom is no longer running. He is walking, and beginning to feel the weight of age. He is now a chief sales representative and co-owner of Springer Motors, enjoying the stability and financial success that come with middle age. His wife is maintaining her figure, and he dresses well, with money flowing in. Despite this, he struggles to accept the reality of his life. When he looks at his family, he is troubled by a sense of loss and regret over the lives he has not lived. The novel explores his internal conflict and the emotional toll of his choices.
