When the Santa Barbara art museum unveils its newest acquisition, a long-lost masterpiece by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, the event takes an unexpected turn. The painting is not the only surprise—so is the museum's curator, who is found dead. Shawn and Gus are drawn to the case because it is strange and confusing, and there is a snack bar at the crime scene. As they investigate, they discover that the clues point to a centuries-old secret society determined to keep a terrible secret. The detectives soon find themselves in danger as the group is willing to kill to protect its past.
