About “Epistles”
The Epistles of Plato are a series of thirteen letters traditionally included in the Platonic corpus. Most of these letters are considered forgeries by modern scholars, with the exception of the Seventh Letter, which is also often rejected. These letters were generally accepted as genuine until modern times, but by the end of the nineteenth century, many philologists concluded that none of the letters were actually written by Plato.
