About “Persepolis 2”
The continuation of Marjane Satrapi's memoir-in-comic-strips, following Persepolis. In 1984, Marjane flees fundamentalism and the war with Iraq to start a new life in Vienna, facing adolescence far from friends and family, and eventually finding a place among fellow outsiders. Missing home, she returns to Iran after graduation and must confront the changes she and her country have undergone, later falling in love and studying art at university before questioning her future in Iran.
