After a year spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson finds his seventh-grade school year unusually quiet. His main challenge is managing his new friend, Tyson—a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless boy who follows him everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have normal friendships. But the peace doesn't last. Percy learns that Camp Half-Blood, a safe place for demigods, is in danger. The magical borders protecting the camp have been poisoned, and monsters are approaching. To save the camp, Percy needs help from his friend Grover, who has been captured by the Cyclops Polyphemus on an island in the Sea of Monsters, now known as the Bermuda Triangle. Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson must retrieve the Golden Fleece before summer ends or the camp will be destroyed. Along the way, Percy uncovers a shocking secret about his family that changes everything.
