The Sending is the seventh novel in the Obernewtyn Chronicles by Australian author Isobelle Carmody. It was originally planned as the final book in the series but was expanded to allow for further development of the story. The novel follows Elspeth as she begins her fated quest to destroy the computermachines before they cause another apocalypse.
