About “Gosen Wakashū”
The Gosen Wakashū, also known as Gosenshū, is the second imperial anthology of Japanese waka. It was compiled in 951 at the request of Emperor Murakami. The collection was created by the Five Men of the Pear Chamber, which included Ōnakatomi no Yoshinobu, Kiyohara no Motosuke, Minamoto no Shitagō, Ki no Tokibumi, and Sakanoue no Mochiki.
