About “The Second Confession”
The Second Confession is a detective novel by Rex Stout, featuring the character Nero Wolfe. It was first published by Viking Press in 1949 and later included in omnibus volumes, such as Triple Zeck. The story is the second of three Nero Wolfe novels involving crime boss Arnold Zeck, who is referred to as Wolfe's Professor Moriarty. In the novel, Zeck calls Wolfe to warn him against investigating a case and takes action when Wolfe refuses to back down. The crime is resolved, but the ending remains unresolved.
