About “Not Quite Dead Enough”
"Not Quite Dead Enough" is a mystery novella by Rex Stout featuring the detective Nero Wolfe. It was first published in an abridged form in the December 1942 issue of The American Magazine. The story later appeared in book form as the first of two novellas in the 1944 collection Not Quite Dead Enough, published by Farrar & Rinehart. The second novella in the collection is Booby Trap. The work is part of the larger Nero Wolfe series, which follows the investigations of the brilliant but reclusive detective and his assistant, Archie Goodwin.
