About “Nancy's Mysterious Letter”

Nancy's Mysterious Letter is the eighth book in the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories series. It was first published in 1932 and written by Walter Karig. Karig replaced Mildred Wirt Benson, who had previously written the series but declined further work due to a pay cut during the Depression. Karig, already a Stratemeyer Syndicate writer, took over authorship. The 1932 edition of the book entered the public domain in Canada and other countries with a life plus 50 copyright policy in 2007, after Karig's death in 1956.
